A WOMAN was shocked when her Goldendoodle puppy transformed into a different god after his first hair cut.

Brooke thought she had welcomed home a red coloured Groodle – but something wasn’t as it seemed.

Bear, named after Yogi Bear, is a mix between a Golden Retriever and a Poodle, sometimes called a Goldendoodle.

Brooke, using the handle @brookeeklement, shared her story on TikTok, with a video captioned: “POV: Your dog changes colour after his first hair cut.”

The content creator wrote sarcastically underneath the clip: “So happy I specifically chose a red coloured groodle.”

A selection of pictures show the fluffy pooch with long, shaggy, strawberry-blonde fur before his trip to the groomer.

But images afterwards revealed Bear’s shorn hair grew back as, an equally cute, cream colour.

People were quick to post their similar experiences in the comment section.

One user wrote: “My toy moodle went from dark caramel to white with caramel ears.”

Another viewer commented: “My Doodle went from pitch black to silver.”

“Mine went from chocolate brown to light brown and now he’s going darker again,” a third explained.

Someone else shared their Groodle wisdom and claimed the breed has “fading genes” which means their true colour is usually revealed at two-years-old.

According to UKPets.com, the standard price for a Goldendoodle is £800 and the start-up cost for equipment and accessories is around £200.

Another woman was baffled when her brown furred Goldendoodle pup turned out to be white.

The amazed dog owner shared clips in a TikTok which revealed Porter’s coat gradually getting lighter and lighter.

The disappointed Groodle guardian claimed she had been scammed by the breeder who had actually dyed the dog’s fur.

She captioned it: “When you get scammed by the breeder and find our your dog was dyed.”

And she was not alone, TikTok user @vienatta took to social media to show her “purebred husky” grow up to be something totally different.

At the beginning of the video, the puppy is held up by the woman and its natural pedigree coat is seen.

As the clip continued, the dog changed colour and grew in size.

By the end of the short film, it was clear the owner had been scammed.
