The Mavericks and Pelicans are both in desperate need of a win heading into Wednesday night’s contest.

Dallas has struggled to find consistency after acquiring Kyrie Irving before the February trade deadline. The All-Star guard is still attempting to develop chemistry with Luka Doncic, but if the Mavs don’t figure out a winning formula soon, they could slide out of the Play-In Tournament.

New Orleans, meanwhile, finds itself teetering amid a rash of injuries. The most notable loss has been Zion Williamson, who suffered a hamstring injury in early January. If he can’t return this season, the Pelicans may not be able to secure a postseason berth.

Are Luka Doncic and Zion Williamson playing tonight?

The Mavericks played on Tuesday and have not yet released an injury report for Wednesday’s game, so Doncic’s status is currently unknown.

Williamson is listed as out on the Pelicans’ official injury report with a right hamstring strain. In a Feb. 28 statement, New Orleans announced that the 22-year-old was making “progress with rehabilitation,” adding that the team would provide further updates “following medical imaging.”
