A MAN has been left puzzled after buying what he thought was a ‘puppy’ – but it turned out to be something much more dangerous.
The bloke claims he replied to an online post selling what seemed to be a cute, innocent puppy.
But when he picked up the pooch and brought it back home, the dog-dad quickly realised that this was not a puppy at all – but called it a wild hyena.
He shared a video to TikTok explaining the bizarre encounter he had with the dodgy dog dealer.
“The guy brought the mom and dad (dogs) out and I’m looking at them and looking at my puppy and I’m like ‘nah bro’,” he said.
The “bully breeder” allegedly reassured the man that the dog would grow up to look just like its parents.

“I tried to name the and said ‘come here Nina’, and the god damn dog just looked at me and laughed – I was so scared, I was like ‘what the f*** is he laughing for?” he added.
“This is a hyena, this a dog-cat-wolf.
“I was trying to play with it and it was just laughing . . . it gave one big laugh and then bit me on the leg hard as hell”.
The man then explains how the animal resembled a “crack baby dog” and even jokingly called the puppies “orangutan lizard foxes”.
When the breeder had gathered them all up, he claims that they all started laughing together.
He ended the TikTok, which has racked up a whopping 626k likes, by saying: “The moral of the story is to watch out for these dog breeders bro… you might end up with ferrets”.
The video was quickly flooded with over 12k comments from people in stitches over his puppy nightmare.
One person wrote: “This whole thing had me cackling like a damn hyena”.
Another said: “I died when he said he heard some people laughin in the back”.
A third joked: “Not him laughing in yo face!”
A number of users were also eager to find out whether the content creator kept the alleged hyena.
This follows reports of a man who took home a stray cat in China, but it turned out to be a deadly endangered species.
Despite initially being full of enthusiasm for his new pet, the man spent three days struggling to care for the kitten.
After taking it to the police, it was revealed that his sweet spotted creature was in fact a leopard cat.
A woman also had the shock of her life after her “husky” puppy grew into a massive wolf dog with “glowing eyes”.
And a third lady splashed out on a “mini” pig but he quickly grew massive.
She was left even more shocked when her pig then began barking like a dog.
