A DIY pro has revealed how she transformed her hallway in two days – and she managed to do it on a tiny budget using bargains rom Amazon and Dunelm.

Beth, known online as @bethanyhome_, shared how she removed the bright wallpaper the previous owners had left behind and gave it a brand-new, neutral look.

The content creator regularly shares interior design tips and DIY ideas with her 1,950 followers.

In a new TikTok reel, she said: “This was the hallway when we moved in. It’s not really my taste.

“I’m not one for wallpaper or bold prints, so the wallpaper just had to go.

“It was just plaster underneath so decided to whitewash first so that the paint would take better.

“We used dado rail to break the space up. It’s really cheap and really effective, and of course, I painted in neutral colours.”

In the comments, Beth revealed that they used Farrow & Ball’s Elephant Breath for the bottom half of the wall.

Shoppers can also pick up dado rail from various retailers, including B&Q, with prices starting at £7.97.

Beth confirmed they painted the rail before securing it to the wall.

She continued: “I added a radiator cover which makes such a difference and this is the end result.”

Beth also shared that her white radiator cover came from Amazon, with prices starting from £34.99.

The interior design pro accessorized the top with a range of candles, photo frames and ornaments.

In the comments, she also confirmed that the mirror placed above it was bought in Dunelm, and the wicker plant pot used to hold faux pampas grass came from IKEA.
