You can’t spell “carbs at Formula One” without Carbone.
The Italian eatery’s $3,000-a-head dinner party in the sand will be “bigger and better” upon its return to the Miami Grand Prix in May, Page Six has learned.
Major Food Group, the creative force behind the celebrity-loved restaurant, has once again joined forces with American Express for the second annual Carbone Beach as Formula 1 returns to the coastal Floridian city.
“Last year was such an incredible event, from the food to the people to the music, that really this year, our goal is to take it even further and make it even better,” Major Food Group co-founder Jeff Zalaznick tells Page Six exclusively.
Zalaznick teases that the four-night extravaganza will be “more over-the-top, more exciting, more indulgent, more luxurious and more exclusive” this time around.
We’re told each evening will begin with a curated cocktail hour followed by a seated dinner featuring a crafted menu by chef Mario Carbone.
Guests will enjoy Carbone’s classic dishes and live performances for the heavy price of $3,000 a person. The supper soirée will take place May 4 to 7 from 7:30 p.m. to midnight and individual tickets can be purchased by American Express Platinum Card and Centurion members on April 6.
Zalaznick notes that he thought last year’s event was a “tremendous success.”
“We were thrilled with the crowd, and it was great to have such an incredible group of people come together,” he says. “The demand we are already seeing is so crazy because they saw what it was last year.
“No one knew what to expect last year. Now people know what level we’re delivering on.”
As Page Six previously reported, hordes of celebrities attended the ritzy 2022 fête along the South Beach shoreline, including LeBron James, Venus and Serena Williams, James Corden, David Beckham, Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union, Derek Jeter, Kevin Love, Rich Paul, Jamie Foxx, Hailee Steinfeld, Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and more.
Attendees were also treated to surprise performances by Andrea Bocelli, Wyclef Jean, Kygo and Nas.
Major Food Group was launched by Zalaznick, Carbone and Rich Torrisi.
