AN INTERIOR designer has revealed the one thing in your home that is making your space look tacky – leather sofas.
So if you have a leather couch in your front room, prepare to be attacked, as according to this interior whizz, they are not a good look.
According to Kreiss, who posts on TikTok under the username @kreissdesign, having a leather sofa in your home will instantly make your house look cheap and tacky.
He said: “Just say no to this popular design – leather sofas.”
Kreiss explained that although many people love leather sofas, they can be expensive and tacky.
He noted: “So many people pick leather sofas because they think they’re indestructible, but here’s the thing.

“They’re expensive, they’re slippery, they’re sticky, and they’re tacky.”
Instead, Kreiss gave a recommendation of an alternative, as he continued: “Try a legit performance fabric instead, indoor/outdoor solution dyed acrylic or a plush fabric treated with ulta or krypton is going to be a much better choice for you than leather.”
Kreiss’ video has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed 481.2k views.
It has 21.4k likes, 1,588 comments and 1,391 shares.
However, social media users were left divided at the man’s claims.
While some agreed and weren’t fans of leather sofas, the overwhelming majority revealed that they love their leather sofa and wouldn’t listen to his advice.
One person said: “Agreed 100000%.”
Another added: “You are 100% right. Never comfortable.”
A third commented: “Agree. Get a leather chair but not a leather sofa.”
However, someone else noted: “Never will I ever own a fabric couch again. I love my leather furniture!”
A second chimed in: “Not tacky, not slippery.”
