The Timberwolves looked discombobulated at times against the Lakers on Tuesday, seemingly struggling to find any offensive rhythm in a 3 of 17 night shooting for Anthony Edwards.

They ended up losing to Los Angeles in overtime with Rudy Gobert suspended from the team after punching teammate Kyle Anderson during the Timberwolves’ final game of the season. Now, they find themselves in a do-or-die game against the upstart Thunder, who are coming off an upset win against the Pelicans.

The Timberwolves haven’t officially announced Gobert’s status, but it’s likely he’ll be in the fold for the Timberwolves’ last attempt at the No. 8 seed.

The Sporting News has you covered with the latest updates on Gobert’s status for Friday’s game.

Is Rudy Gobert playing vs. Thunder tonight?

The Timberwolves haven’t given official word on Gobert’s status Friday, as his suspension from the team wasn’t announced with a length.

With that being said, there’s a good chance with the regular season in the rear-view (and a playoff berth on the line) Gobert will be able to suit up for Minnesota Friday night.

Timberwolves vs. Thunder will be broadcast on ESPN for a national audience.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Josh Giddey, and Lu Dort led the Thunder to their win over the Pelicans. They’ll look to do the same against Edwards, Karl-Anthony Towns, and Gobert. Minnesota has had a rough few weeks. But the winner of this game will get a chance to upend the Western Conference when they play the Nuggets in the first round.
