A WOMAN has revealed a simple bargain buy which has transformed the way she stores her pots and pans – and people claim it’s the ideal solution if you’re cheap.
Stephanie took to TikTok to share how she turned two shower caddies into a rack to hold her saucepans and their lids, making it so much easier to find what she needs.
And people were stunned by how easy it was to make, after spotting pricey alternatives online.
Shared on the @busymompicks page, the account regularly shares savvy home hacks and parenting tips with its 11,300 followers.
In a new reel, Stephanie said: “Shower [racks] from Dollar Tree.
“I am going to organise my pots and pans and the lids.
“It’s going to cost me $2 to organise each, and let me show you how.
“Zip ties, also from Dollar Tree.
“Okay, so slide them under each other, and this is what you want it to look like.”
During the one-minute video, the savvy mum is seen intertwining two racks together to make one long one.
Laying it flat on her kitchen counter, she reveals how doing this creates multiple little stands for her saucepans, frying pans and their lids to rest against.
She continued: “So now we’re going to zip tie to hold it into place. Cut the excess off.
“This is how it’s going to look. See, it’s all held together. All you need is zip ties.
“And this is the result. Look how pretty it is.
“And you can also do your tupperware lids. Look how nice.”
Below the video, she added: “Organization hack for pots and pans! So much better than digging through them to find the one you need (which is always on the bottom).”
At the end of the short clip, she reveals that she’s created two of the racks, one for each shelf in her cupboard.
The top one appears to be holding 10 pans, all neatly stood on their side so they can be easily pulled out and put away.
Shoppers can grab similar-style caddies from various retailers, including Wilko, with prices starting at just £8.
Zip ties can also be found on sites like Shein and Amazon for as little as £1.75 for a pack of 100.
Fans loved her quick and easy hack, with the video gaining more than 78,700 likes and 1.9 million views.
In the comments, TikTokkers shared their reactions – with some claiming it’s perfect if you’re ‘cheap’.
